Water/Sewer Rates & Policies

Listed below, you will find the Village of McLean current water/sewer rates. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office, and we will provide it for you. 

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call the Village Office. We will do everything possible to locate the issue.

All water and sewer fees are included with the garbage/recycle fees on one bill, to be paid monthly to the McLean Village Office. See Payment Options for more information about paying this bill.

The follow rates are as of 1/1/2024.

Residential

Water

Minimum bill (2,000 gallons): $28.50

2,001 to 6,000 gallons: $10.35 per 1,000 gallons

6,001 gallons and over: $12.20 per 1,000 gallons

Sewer

Minimum bill (2,000 gallons): $14.35

2,001 to 6,000 gallons: $4.80 per 1,000 gallons

6,001 gallons and over: $5.30 per 1,000 gallons

Commercial

Water

Minimum bill (2,000 gallons): $36.70

2,001 gallons and over: $13.25 per 1,000 gallons

Sewer

Minimum bill (2,000 gallons): $17.40

2,001 gallons and over: $5.75 per 1,000 gallons                              

Bulk Water

$13.55 per 1,000 gallons    

Sewer Fee     

$0.63/month

Water Tower Fee (debt service fee) 

$9.30/month

Village ordinance specifies annual 5% increase in water and sewer rates on both usage and minimum bill. The Village of McLean combines the water usage charge to calculate the minimum water bill and combines the sewer usage charge and the sewer fee to calculate the minimum sewer bill.           

Water Billing Timeline 

Initial Billing Notice:

Delivered on or prior to the 1^st of a current month.

Due Date:

Payment is due on the 15^th day of the current month.

Late Charges:

Applied to accounts with existing balances on the 16^th day of the current month.

Reminder Notice:

Delivered to clients 5 days after the payment due date for all accounts with outstanding balances and are not on a payment arrangement.

Disconnection Notice:

Deliver to clients if no payment is received 10 days after the reminder notice is delivered for all accounts with outstanding balances and are not on a payment arrangement.
