The Village of McLean offers a variety of convenient payment options for our residents. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.
Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment stub. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least 5 to 7 business days before the due date specified on your bill.
You may pay your bill in person at the Village Office (121 South Hamilton Street) by coming in during open hours (8 am to 12 pm M-F and 1st Sat) or dropping off an envelope with your payment along with your payment stub in the box by the door 24/7. We accept cash, check, or money orders.
- You also will continue to receive your bill in the mail unless you request otherwise by contacting the Village Office by phone or email.
- You will receive your bill via email from the following address: email@example.com.
- The e-bill file will be attached to the email, and you will need a PDF viewer on your phone or computer to open the file.
- A password is required to open the file; instructions for the password are in the body of the email.
- Make sure you look in your spam folder if you register your email address but do not receive your bill via email.
- Signing up for e-billing does not require that you pay your bill online. You will be able to pay your bill using any of the available options described on this page (mail, drop-off, or online).
Online Bill Pay Through This Website – NOW AVAILABLE!
You can now pay your bill online through this website using a one-time ACH draft from your bank account (credit/debit cards are not accepted at this time). Click one of the red “Pay Your Bill Now” buttons on this page. You will be redirected to another site with a Log In portal. Here you may either select “Quick Pay” or “Register.”
To register your account, select the “Register” button. Enter your water billing account number that appears on your water bill. Be sure to include any leading zeroes in your account number. The next screen will show the name and address associated with your account. If the information is correct, select “Yes, this is my account.” Then create your user name and password, which you will use to log in for online payment. User ID and password are case sensitive. Please remember your login information. Once you are logged in, you will see the “Home” page with your account information, including usage and payment history. The “Pay Bill” box shows the current amount due. To make a payment, click the “Make a Payment” button in this box. On the next screen, the amount due will appear as the payment amount. You can leave this amount or change it. Then you will need to enter your bank account information, including the name on the account, the routing number, and the account number. You may also enter a “check number” for your records, but please note that you do not need to use an actual check from your checkbook.

Be sure to include any leading zeroes in your account number. The next screen will show the address associated with your account and the payment form. The amount due will appear as the payment amount. You can leave this amount or change it. Then you will need to enter your bank account information, including the name on the account, the routing number, and the account number. You may also enter a “check number” for your records, but please note that you do not need to use an actual check from your checkbook.
Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay
Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to 7 business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.
Automatic Bank Draft – Coming Soon!
The Village Office is currently working on setting up an ACH draft process, through which residents can have the amount of their utility bill automatically withdrawn from their bank account on the 10th of the month. To set up this service, you will need to complete an authorization form and provide a voided check or savings slip for authorization. Please check back soon, or if you subscribe for alerts (click the "Subscribe" button in the sidebar and fill out and submit the form), you will be notified when ACH bill payment is available.
